The Steepest Descent Meeting is the European cousin of the Gilbert Club Meeting in the USA. Created in 2013, its purpose is to welcome and connect researchers interested in all topics linked to Geomorphology, in a friendly and pleasing atmosphere. For a few years now, it is held at the Haus des Meeres in Vienna, just before EGU, to help break the ice and welcome everyone in the community.

I’ve participated in the meetings since 2021, and really enjoyed it. Because of that, I wanted to be part of the organising commity, which is now the case since 2023!

If you go to EGU, and Geomorphology is your thing, don’t hesitate to join us! (registration is on our website)
